WAI'ANAE
Intermediate school gets in Valentine's Day spirit

Advertiser Staff

Because February is Valentine's month, Wai'anae Intermediate School will be part of a pair of programs aimed at showing the school has a heart.

The first program, "Valentines For Troops," is under way and encourages students and faculty to create valentines for military personnel. The cheerful cards will include such messages as "Thank you for protecting us," and that old standby, "Happy Valentine's Day!"

During the second program, "Happy Heart Mail," which will run from Feb. 6-12, students will be able to make donations to the American Heart Association by buying 25-cent valentine cards.
