Hawaii public service video contest deadline is March 3

Middle and high school students interested in entering a television public service announcement filmmaking contest have until March 3 to submit their entries.The teen video awards contest is sponsored by the Hawaii Medical Service Association in conjunction with Sassy/G Magazine, the Hawai'i Department of Education, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Winning videos will be aired on local television stations.
Focus topics for the 27-second public service announcements are fitness/nutrition, drug free, tobacco free, underage drinking prevention, and social health messages.

Each school which produces a winning public service announcement will receive money to purchase video equipment or software. Video winners in different categories will be awarded $1,000 for first place; $500 for second place, and $250 for third place.
The "best of show" public service announcement winner will be awarded an additional $1,000.
