KAHUKU
Library sets up several activities in February

The Kahuku Public and School Library will host Tuesday Night at the Library with sessions starting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5. All programs are free.

Jocelyn Lopez will conduct a Valentine card-making class Feb. 5 and will provide material through a donation of the Friends of Kahuku Library. Participants will have a chance to make several cards and take one home. The others will be sent to veterans recovering at hospitals.

The library book club meets on Feb. 12 and will discuss "Paths of Duty" by Patricia Grimshaw. The book explores the lives of missionary wives in Hawai'i during the 1800s.

Sharon Kuntz will lecture about slack key guitar and demonstrate some of her favorite pieces on Feb. 19.

And on Feb. 26, Janet Simmons and Peggy Nihipali will teach participants how to make tofu and create recipes using it. Samples will be provided.

The library also hosts Keiki Story Time at 10 a.m. and After School Club at 12:45 p.m. every Wednesday.
