Kaimuki stabbing victim had over 12 punctures

Advertiser Staff

Police are investigating an early morning stabbing of a 22-year-old man in Kaimuki today as an attempted murder.

Officers found the man lying on the ground outside a Waialae Avenue convenience store at 1:15 a.m. with over a dozen puncture wounds, possibly stemming from a fight. The man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in stable condition, said city Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.

While investigators were at the scene, a second man was found with serious lacerations to his arm. Police said the man was also taken to Queen's.

No arrests have been made but police said a man, 27, has been identified as a suspect. Police did not disclose if the suspect is also the second injured man.
