'EWA BEACH
'Sing Along with Uncle Wayne' at library today

"Sing Along with Uncle Wayne," featuring "Uncle Wayne" Watkins, will be held from 10:30 a.m. today in the meeting room of the 'Ewa Beach Public & School Library.

Watkins, director of the University of Hawai'i-Manoa Children's Center, is an early-childhood educator and children's advocate. He sings and plays guitar. Several of his own songs typically inspire children to get up and move.

The one-hour event is free and recommended for children ages 3 and above, accompanied by their families.

The program is part of the 2008 Hawai'i State Public Library System's Children's Summer Reading Program.
