Meeting set on Oceanic cable TV franchise renewal

The state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs has scheduled a public meeting for 4 to 6:30 p.m. July 15 at Hirata Hall on the grounds of McKinley High School on the renewal of the franchise of Oceanic Time Warner Cable to provide cable TV services on O'ahu.
The meeting is open to the public, and members of communities served by Oceanic Time Warner are encouraged to attend the meeting and say how community access TV has benefited their communities, state officials said.
