WIMBLEDON, England — Rainer Schuettler has reached the Wimbledon semifinals for the first time, beating Arnaud Clement 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (6), 6-7 (7), 8-6 today in a match that took two days to complete.

The match started Wednesday but was suspended because of darkness at one set apiece. Clement had a match point in the fifth set, but Schuettler saved it.

Schuettler will face two-time runner-up Rafael Nadal in the semifinals.
