Aloha Petroleum is having a sweepstakes drawing promotion this month to select two winners to spend a day "inside-the-ropes" with Moanalua High School senior Tadd Fujikawa, whose next professional events will be in Japan in a few weeks. The winners will golf and have lunch with Fujikawa.

Aloha Petroleum and Mid-Pacific Country Club will host the outing Aug. 10. Aloha Petroleum, The Honolulu Advertiser, Salem Media and KITV Channel 4 are collaborating to help promote the month-long "Hang with Tadd" Sweepstakes.

Entry forms are at Aloha Petroleum Island Mini-Mart locations on O'ahu and the Big Island. Golfers can also apply online at www.honoluluadvertiser.com, by agreeing to EasyPay payments for Advertiser delivery.

SUMMER BREAK

First Tee Hawai'i will hold Summer Break Programs July 7 to 11, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Hawai'i Country Club (Kunia) and Ala Wai Driving Range. Kids between the ages of 7 and 18 are eligible.

Cost for the program is $25, and equipment is provided. To register, call Ken Zitz at 478-3466 or e-mail him at kwz711@hawaii.rr.com.

PRO-AM SERIES

The Aloha Section PGA Foundation's second stop on its Pro-Am series is July 11 at Makaha Resort. The series benefits University of Hawai'i golf.

Castle Resorts and Hotels is title sponsor for the second year. The purse is approximately $6,000 (gift certificates for amateurs and cash for pros).

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Tournament format is five-person team (one Aloha Section pro and four amateurs), one net and one gross best-ball per hole. All amateurs must have a USGA GHIN handicap.

This event is open to the public and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

The final series stop is Oct. 10 at Hawai'i Prince.
