A male pedestrian suffered critical injuries tonight after being struck by a vehicle near the 7-Eleven store at 1247 Kailua Road, police said.

The incident was reported at 9:11 p.m.

The man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, said city Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.

Police vehicular homicide investigators have been dispatched to the scene.
