Teen punched at Kapolei park after traffic collision

A Kapolei teenager was punched in the face and neck and his car was struck by another teenager at Kapolei Community Park late Saturday night, police said.

The 11:30 p.m. incident occurred at the park where the 18-year-old Kapolei boy had fled following a motor vehicle collision in Makakilo, police said.

Police arrested a 17-year-old teenager from 'Ewa Beach for first-degree unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle and third-degree criminal property damage. The beating stemmed from the traffic collision in Makakilo between the brother of the 'Ewa Beach teenager and the Kapolei teen, police said. The Kapolei teen was treated for his injuries at St. Francis-West Medical Center.
