Best surf on Hawaii's east shores today

Surf along south- and north-facing shores will be at 1 foot to 3 feet today, according to the National Weather Service.

On the east-facing shores, the surf is expected to be 2 feet to 4 feet today.

Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or fronts, of the waves, the weather service said. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the forecast. Surfers should expect rip currents in or near any surf zone.
