A 23-year-old man was arrested early today in Waikiki on suspicion of armed robbery.

The arrest occurred fronting 2301 Kuhio Ave. at 1:50 a.m. after the male victim, 30, called 911 on a cell phone to report that a man, who had robbed him earlier of money at knifepoint, was following him.

A second male suspect fled the scene and remain at large.

The arrested man was uncharged at 6 p.m. today but still in custody at the main police station cellblock.
