Last day of 2-person Zipperlane today

Advertiser Staff

Traffic is flowing smoothly this morning around Oahu, the final day that two people will be able to commute in the Zipperlane.

Starting Tuesday, police will enforce the new law that only vehicles with three people or more can use the Zipperlane.

Governor Linda Lingle made the change in an effort to get more people to commute together with the hopes of reducing traffic on Oahu's roadways and speeding up commutes.

Motorcycles will also be allowed to use the Zipperlane.
