The state has started accepting bids for the first phase of a project to improve Kapolei's freeway traffic flow.

Bids are being solicited for an estimated $20-million project consisting of an east-bound H-1 freeway on-ramp and off-ramp for the new interchange at Kamokila Boulevard at Wakea Street, as well as a west-bound freeway off-ramp near Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park.
