Big Island police today identified motorcyclist killed yesterday in a crash on Hawai'i Belt Road (Route 11) in the Ka'u District as Peter Paul Quesada III of Kailua, Kona.

Quesada was operating a 1999 Kawasaki motorcycle south on the highway when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, crossed the centerline and ran off the left side of the road at 3:22 p.m. He was was not wearing a helmet.
