Maui Preparatory gets accredited for 3 years

Maui Preparatory Academy has received three-year accreditation by both the Hawai'i Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools & Colleges.

The school began working toward accreditation in 2006, shortly after the start of its second year in operation. An accreditation committee visited the school in January and March to review documents, observe classes and talk with administrators, students, faculty, staff, parents and trustees.

Maui Preparatory Academy is an independent, college-preparatory school serving West Maui. The school plans to add an 11th grade level in the coming academic year, with its first graduating class expected in 2010.
