Augie T taps Willie K for Aug. 9 show at Hawai'i Theatre

"Augie T Live," set for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Hawai'i Theatre, will be a recorded for a future DVD release and will feature Island favorite Willie K in a guest appearance.

Augie T, Hawai'i's No. 1 stand-up comedian and the only radio deejay heard statewide, will also present two high school students with scholarships coordinated by

Augie's Speak the Dream Foundation.

Augie is heard on local radio on The Zone 93.1 in Honolulu, on Q103 on Maui, on KMMK on Moloka'i and on 95.9 The Surf on Kaua'i. He also hosts "The Augie Show," his TV variety program, on KFVE.

With his wife Kim, Augie has created the Speak the Dream Foundation to help high schoolers achiever higher education goals. Earlier, he presented awards to Neighbor Island recipients; this concert will enable him to honor Honolulu winners.
