Wilson shoots 3-under, McLachlin 1-over at Deere Classic

Former Hawaii resident Dean Wilson shot 3-under 68 today and is tied for 29th after the first round of the John Deere Classic in Silvis, ill.

Another former Hawaii resident Parker McLachlin shot 1-over 72 and is tied for 110th place.

Ken Duke and Charlie Wi are tied for first after shooting 7-under 64s.

Wilson, a former Kaneohe resident and Castle High alum, had seven birdies and four bogeys in a roundof 35-33. He recorded four birdies on the back nine, including Nos. 17 and 18.

McLachlin, a former Honolulu resident and Punahou School alum, carded three birdies and four bogeys for his round of 36-36.
