Weather: Mostly sunny with just a few showers

Advertiser Staff

A high pressure area north of the state will produce moderate trade winds through Saturday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Rainfall will be on the light side and concentrated primarily over windward slopes, according to the forecast.

The high pressure area is expected to weaken on Saturday, with winds becoming light and remaining so into early next week.

Sea breezes will likely produce showers over some leeward areas, but the atmosphere will be dry and stable so rainfall will remain light.

The High pressure area to the north will strengthen enough by the middle of the new week to produce moderate trades.
