UH kicks off football camps this weekend

 •  WAC to get boost from ESPN

The first of three University of Hawai'i football camps will be held tomorrow and Sunday on the school's grass practice field (across from Les Murakami Stadium).

This camp is available to boys and girls ages 5 to 12. The camp description is: "Have fun while learning fundamentals."

The $40 fee includes a T-shirt and instruction from UH football coaches, including head coach Greg McMackin.

Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Sessions run from 9 to 11 a.m.

The other camps are:

  • Skills Camp, ages 13 and older, July 15 to 18. This camp is for quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, linebackers and defensive backs.

    There is an $80 pre-registration fee; walk-ups will be charged $90.

  • Big Man's Camp, ages 13 and older, July 21 to 23. This camp is for offensive and defensive linemen.

    Pre-registration fee is $60; walk-ups will be charged $75.
