Weather: Mostly sunny with a few light showers

The trade winds will gradually weaken during the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Light showers over windward areas are expected, primarily during night and early morning hours, according to the forecast.

Sea breezes later in the day will generate a few showers, but since the atmosphere is generally dry and stable, rainfall will be light, forecasters said.

A high pressure area building up north of the state will cause the trades to gradually strengthen starting Tuesday. The winds will likely become breezy later in the week.

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
