Kapolei man, 22, critical after car flips in Mililani

Advertiser Staff

A 22-year-old Kapolei man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition this morning after his sports car flipped over and rolled several times near the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Waikalani Drive,

Witnesses told police that the man, who was the lone occupant of the 2005 Ford Mustang, appeared to be speeding south-bound when his car drifted across the center median, crossed the north-bound lanes, struck a dirt embankment and rolled over at least twice.

Police said the man was taken to Queen's with head and arm injuries.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said paramedics were sent out on the call at 5:46 a.m.
