H-1 lane closures this week

Advertiser Staff

Two different projects on H-1 Freeway will cause lane closures affecting West O'ahu motorists this week.

First, the right lane of H-1 westbound from the Kunia Interchange to the Makakilo/Kapolei off-ramp (Exit 2) will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. nightly Monday through Friday morning for sign replacements.

Meanwhile, there will be single-lane closures in both directions between the Makakilo and Kunia interchanges Monday and Tuesday as the city works on the new North-South Road interchange.

Specifically,

— Monday, the left lane eastbound will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The left lane westbound will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Tuesday the right lane westbound will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time.

Roadwork is weather-permitting.
