JabbaWockeeZ to open Level 4 club Saturday night

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Staff Writer

The JabbaWockeeZ, a free-style dance phenom recently honored by MTV as "America's Best Dance Crew," will perform at the launch of Level 4, the nightclub and ultra lounge, opening after midnight Saturday at the Level 4 showroom site on the fourth floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center.

The JabbaWockeeZ is a high-energy dance troupe known for its full-face masks and gloves, performing synchronized dance moves and intricate hip-hop feats. The act has appeared on such TV shows as "Live with Regis & Kelly" and "America's Got Talent."

The opening, intended to be a preview for media, will begin at 11:59 p.m. with media check-in in the lanai of the Level 4 space. Red carpet arrivals will begin at 12:30 a.m., followed by the club performance of the JabbaWockeeZ.

The wee-hour nightclub and ultra lounge venues are to become regular meet-and-mingle hot spots for the after-show crowd, following the performances of the resident main show, "Waikiki Nei," which has delayed its formal opening till next Tuesday.
