The San Francisco 49ers announced yesterday the signing of second-round draft choice Chilo Rachal, an offensive guard from USC.

Terms of the contract were not announced by the team.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Rachal did not allow a sack in 21 games during his college career as a guard. The 49ers coaching staff moved Rachal to tackle during the organized team activities in June.

Rachal is the third of the 49ers six 2007 draft picks to sign with the team. Also signed are sixth-round pick Josh Morgan, a receiver from Virginia Tech and seventh-round pick Larry Grant, a linebacker from Ohio State.
