Surf: South shores up a bit , 5-7 feet expected today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the south-facing shores of O'ahu has come up a bit over night and should be in the range of 5 to 7 feet today, according to the National Weather Service surf forecast.

Elsewhere today look for surf of 3 to 5 feet along west-facing shores on O'ahu, 2 to 4 feet along east-facing shores and 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.

Outlook through Tuesday, July 2: Surf along south-facing shores will slowly subside as the size and period of the current south swell decrease. South-shore surf will be reinforced by a new south swell early next week. Strengthening trades will increase surf along east-facing shores starting today. Otherwise, no significant swells are expected.
