Big Island police searching for missing girl

Big Island police are asking for public assistance in finding a 17-year-old girl reported missing from her Hilo home since April 22.

Nicole Yates is Caucasian, 5-foot-6, about 110 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Hawaii Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
