Weather: Mix of sun and showers expected today

A high pressure area well north of the state will keep the trade winds blowing across the islands through the middle of the new week, the National Weather Service said.
The trades will be accompanied by showers that will affect primarily the windward and mauka areas of all islands, according to the forecast.
The remnants of tropical storm Elide will bring scattered numerous showers to all islands, but particularly the Big Island Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. Breezy, with a east wind between 18 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
