Guest performer at St. Andrew's Cathedral

Susan Matthews will serve as guest performer at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 6 for the Saint Andrew's Cathedral weekly organ recital.

Matthews is director of music at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Burlingame, Calif. She will perform Charles Marie-Widor's Symphony No. 6, on the cathedral's renowned Aeolian Skinner pipe organ. Brown bag lunches are welcome. (Recitals are preceded by a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 12:05 p.m.)

UH EVENT ADDRESSES HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Nightlife Church and Inter Varsity Ministries at University of Hawai'i-Manoa are partnering to put on a Sept. 20 conference about human trafficking, "Change Your World — Abolition."

The event will be at UH Campus Center ballroom. Speakers include Bill Forbes, Annie Dieselberg and Paul and Sussie Childers.
