Work to close Mililani ramps, roads

Advertiser Staff

Key portions of H-2 Freeway and surface streets near the Mililani interchange will be closed 24 hours a day through the weekend and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday through Friday to allow state transportation crews to conduct pavement resurfacing.

Through the weekend, the south-bound on-ramp from Meheula Parkway will be closed. Honolulu-bound motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as Kamehameha Highway, or to proceed on Meheula, U-turn at 'Ainamakua Drive and use the south-bound ramp coming from Mililani Mauka.

Also, the right lane of the H-2 Freeway north-bound off-ramp at Mililani Mauka will be closed. Additionally, the north-bound lanes on Meheula Parkway will be closed between Kuahelani Avenue and the freeway. Mauka-bound traffic will be contraflowed using one makai-bound lane.

Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday next week, the north-bound freeway Mililani Mauka off-ramp (Exit 5A) will be closed. Mililani Mauka-bound motorists are advised to proceed along H-2 Freeway to the following Mililani Town off-ramp (Exit 5B), turn right onto Meheula Parkway, and make a U-turn at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection (see map at left) or to use alternative routes such as Kamehameha Highway.

Meanwhile, the freeway on-ramp in the south-bound direction from Meheula Parkway (from Mililani Town) will be closed during the week.

Honolulu-bound motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as Kamehameha Highway or to proceed along Meheula Parkway, U-turn at the 'Ainamakua Drive intersection and use the H-2 Freeway Honolulu-bound loop on-ramp from the makai-bound lanes.
