Things to do around Oahu today

Today is a family day at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be the Bank of Hawaii Family "In the Space Provided' themed fun.

There will be Aerial dance, a mini art tour, human checkers and scavenger hunt. Head on over or call 532-8770 for more information.

Other things to do around Oahu today include taking a trip back through time with the best of the 70s soul jam at the Blaisdell Arena tonight.

The Stylistics, The Chi-Lites and The Three Degrees will perform at 7 p.m. Cost is $49 and you get tickets in advance through ticketmaster.com.

If you're looking for something a little more active, head over to Kahana Valley for a 6-mile intermediate hike. Meet at the Iolani Palace at 8 a.m. to share the journey with fellow hikers. Cost is a $2 donation.

And if you're venturing to the North Shore today don't miss the Haleiwa Arts Festival. Cool crafts, demonstrations, trolley tours and food are all a part of the festivities. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
