Free carnival rides for military families

Soldiers and family members who are part of the Wounded Warriors program or the Blue Star Card program through Schofield Barracks will be given free wristbands today that will allow free access to all rides at the Central Oahu Carnival.

Mayor Mufi Hannemann and E.K. Fernandez Shows are giving out the wrist bands as a special salute. Free hot dogs and sodas will also be offered. The carnival is taking place at the Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Wristbands will be distributed from noon to 2 p.m. and will be good until 4 p.m.

The carnival will open to the general public from noon to 10 p.m. today.

For others, wristbands for unlimited rides today from 5 to 10 p.m. are $18 and are available only at Ticketmaster outlets in Times Supermarkets.
