East shore surf on the rise

Advertiser Staff

A larger south swell will be arriving tomorrow that is expected to peak near the 8-foot advisory threshold on Thursday.

Today, strengthening trade wins are bringing increased surf along eastern shores. By late afternoon surf along east shores will be 5 to 7 feet, the National Weather Service said. The eastern shores will also see advisory-level surf by tomorrow.

Today, surf along south shores will remain 3 to 5 feet while west and north shores will see surf 1 to 3 feet.
