SALT LAKE
Library will host lecture on family legal issues

Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library is scheduled to host "Get Your Family Legal Affairs Organized" at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Attorney Scott Suzuki will conduct the one-hour presentation. Suzuki is a volunteer with the University of Hawai'i Elder Law Program, where he assists senior and disabled clients with legal matters, including estate planning, guardianships, public benefits and elder abuse. Suzuki has also worked as a gerontologist for more than a decade.

Suzuki will discuss topics such as advanced healthcare directives, power of attorney, trusts, living wills, Medicare and Medicaid. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. Participants should come prepared with their legal questions.
