KCCN Birthday Bash on Pay Per View this weekend

Advertiser Staff

The KCCN FM 100 Birthday Bash, a popular two-night musical celebration of Island music Friday and Saturday at the Waikiki Shell, will be available on pay per view for the first time.

Oceanic Time Warner Cablevision will offer the shows in standard and HD (high definition) formats on OC 26 and OC 1260, as well as on the Internet at www.birthdaybashppv.com.

Air time will be form 5:30 to 10 p.m. both days. Prices are $29.99 for one night for standard, $39.99 for HD, or $44.99 and $54.99 for both nights. The cost for Web stream is $9.99 per night.

"With airfare rising to heights that make it prohibitive for Neighbor Island fans to make the pilgrimage to the Birthday Bash, we thought this would be a perfect way to bring the concert to them," said Mike Kelly, general manager of Cox Radio, the parent company of KCCN.

Further, the concerts have been an annual sellout, so PPV provides an opportunity to enjoy the show from the comfort of the living room.
