Associated Press

GOLDEN, Colo. — Gov. Linda Lingle will be among the dignitaries who will visit the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colo., tomorrow.

Lingle, Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter and DOE Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alexander Karsner will have the opportunity to drive alternate fuel vehicles.

They include a hydrogen fuel cell-powered Hyundai Tucson, a hybrid electric Toyota Highlander and a compressed natural gas-fueled Honda Civic.

Lingle is stopping in Colorado on her way back from the Bahamas, where she represented the U.S. at a one-day conference focusing on the development of renewable energy for island nations or territories.
