Three films premiering at the Lahaina Film Festival

Three films will have their world premiere screenings at the 3rd annual Lahaina Film Festival when MauiFest Hawaii comes to Front Street in August.

The free festival will run from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 9 at Campbell Park. and the Baldwin House Museum.

Making their world premiere are "Palm Trees & Protoges," "Halau Nalu" and "Ma ka Hana ka ike."

Other films being shown include: "Requiem," "The Turtle and the Shark," "The Punaluu Experience," "Mai Tai," "Guard Dog," "Voyages," "Aloha Music Camp," "Kekohi" and "Children of the Long Canoes."

Musical performers include Uncle Boy Kanae, Uncle Benny Uyetake, Brother Noland and Bradda Francis.
