AUGIE AT HAWAI'I THEATRE

Comic Augie T. takes on the big stage in a performance Aug. 9 at the Hawai'i Theatre. Multitalented musician Willie K also will appear.

The comedy concert is scheduled to be recorded for television. Augie also will award two scholarships from his Speak the Dream Foundation to two high-school students.

WATERPARK BENEFIT

"Rock the Waterpark" is a benefit concert for the five children of Janel Tupuola, who was beaten to death in Kailua in January. Her former boyfriend has been charged with second-degree murder and other felony counts.

The concert, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Aug. 9, takes place at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park and features entertainment by 3 Scoops of Aloha, Ilona Irvine, Simplisity, B.E.T., Crosswinds and others. There'll be food, games, prizes and a silent auction, too. A beer garden will be available for those 21 and older.

Donations are also being accepted at all Bank of Hawaii locations.
