Weather: Very pleasant through the weekend

A high pressure area to the north of the state will keep moderate trade winds blowing for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Hawaii.

Fine weather is expected for most areas this weekend, with windward and mauka showers on the lighter side, forecasters said.

An area of moisture will arrive early next week to bring a few more trade showers.

There's a closer look at the weekend weather:

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
