Advertiser Staff

Police are continuing the search for an O'ahu Community Correctional Center inmate who fled from her attorney while on supervised release today.

Roxanne P. Garcia, 21, was returning from a supervised release with her attorney when she darted from his car and fled on foot in the OCCC parking lot.

Garcia is behind bars awaiting trial on two counts of burglary.

She has been at OCCC since March 24.

Her bail is $75,000.

Louise Kim McCoy, state Department of Public Safety spokeswoman, said Garcia fled from her attorney just before noon. She was released into the custody of her attorney at 8:15 a.m. today for an assessment at Hina Mauka.
