Augie T., live from the Hawaii Theatre to your living room

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

It's called "Augie T. Live!" — and it will be televised live via K5 The Home Team, from the Hawai'i Theatre to home viewers, on Aug. 9.

Though the event, also featuring guest artist Willie K, has a 7:30 p.m. curtain time, the show will be carried live on TV from 8 to 9 p.m. as it happens from the Downtown facility.

Augie is the popular Island stand-up comedian and a morning drive deejay (The Zone 93.1) heard on radio statewide.

This performance, also acknowledging high school scholarship recipients from Augie's Speak the Dream Foundation, marks the first time a local comedian is beaming his show live to Island living rooms.

Theater admission is $20, $25 and $30 in advance.
