New details released on suspected hit-run vehicle

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department today released new details on the vehicle believed to have been involved in a July 22 hit-and-run that killed 18-year-old bicyclist David Aldridge II.

The hit-and-run happened about 1:30 a.m. on Kamehameha Highway near Dole Plantation.

Evidence recovered from the scene has been identified as a 2006 Chevrolet Express Cutaway or a 2006 GMC Savana Cutaway, the HPD and CrimeStoppers said in a press release. The vehicle has a red cab, chrome outside mirrors, black flat bed, and yellow lights above the cab. There is damage to the right front of the vehicle, lamp assembly and right outside mirror.
