A Hale'iwa woman pleaded no-contest Monday to misdemeanor third-degree negligent homicide stemming from a pedestrian accident last year in Waikiki.

Angela Y. Rodriguez, 26, was sentenced today but details were not available.

Rodriguez was driving west on Kalia Road on Sept. 1, 2007 when her vehicle struck 74-year-old Emma Larson, who was crossing in a crosswalk at 7:55 a.m. Larson died Sept. 2 at The Queen's Medical Center.
