Surf: South shores down to 3-5 feet today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along south-facing shores has diminished a bit over night and will be 3 to 5 feet today, according to the National Weather Service surf forecast for Oahu.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores, 4 to 6 along east-facing shores and 3 feet or less along north-facing shores.

Outlook through Monday, Aug 4: The rough and choppy surf along east-facing shores generated by the strong trade winds will gradually subside through Wednesday night as the trade winds weaken to moderate levels. Typical summertime background swells will continue along south facing-shores through this weekend. Otherwise, no significant swells are expected.
