MOUNTAIN VIEW
Library will reopen with improvements Monday

Mountain View Public and School Library will reopen at noon Monday, the state library system announced yesterday.

The Big Island library has been closed since June 9 to install accessibility improvements that include new safety lighting in the parking lots and in the library, an improved handicap-accessible ramp with new handrails, wheel stops in parking places, and a new roof.

The bookdrops, which were moved temporarily during construction, are back in front of the school cafeteria.

Library hours remain the same: noon to 8 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday.

The library is on the Mountain View Elementary School campus at 18-1235 Volcano Highway.
