Police yesterday said they are seeking a "Cutaway"-type truck in connection with a July 22 hit-and-run accident that killed bicyclist David Aldridge in Wahiawa.

Aldridge, 18, was riding a bicycle when struck by the truck at 1:35 a.m. on Kamehameha Highway, six-tenths of a mile north of Nui Avenue near Dole Plantation.

Based on evidence at the scene, police believe the truck that hit Aldridge is a 2006 Chevrolet Express Cutaway or 2006 GMC Savana Cutaway flatbed truck with a red cab, chrome side mirrors and yellow lights atop the cab.

The truck has damage to its front end, to its right front lamp assembly and right outside mirror.

People may report information on the vehicle or its driver to Honolulu CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
