Maui Brewing begins remodeling Lahaina brewpub

Advertiser Staff

Maui Brewing Co. has begun remodeling its brewpub at the Kahana Gateway Center in Lahaina,

While the brewpub will remain open during most of the remodeling, the front room has been closed to start work on that side and to replace the air conditioners, according to a news release from Maui Brewing.

The entire establishment will be closed briefly in July so that work can be done in the bar and kitchen area. The renovation is expected to be completed in August.

The remodeling will include the installation of an 80 kilowatt photovoltaic system that will supply a minimum of 75% of the energy consumed at the brewpub, according to a news release from Maui Brewing.

Other additions will include skylights providing natural lighting, ceiling fans, compact fluorescent lighting, and other energy-efficient upgrades. Also, the project will include an updated decor and ambiance along with more seating at the bar, more televisions and a new state-of-the-art sound system.
