WAILUKU
Amy Hill to head hospital chaplain services program

Maui Memorial Medical Center has named Amy Hill as coordinator of the hospital's Chaplaincy Program.

Hill is an employee of Pacific Health Ministry, the agency that contracts with Maui Memorial to provide chaplain services. She is the first full-time chaplain on board at the Wailuku hospital, and is available to provide services to patients and their families, as well as Maui Memorial staff.

Hill did her chaplaincy training at the Queen's Medical Center and Kapi'olani Medical Center in Honolulu, and is a graduate of Eastern University near Philadelphia. She received her master of divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.

In addition to providing direct spiritual services, Hill will work closely with hospital social workers and will serve on the ethics, palliative care and emergency management committees.
