Kaläkaua closures set for Pan-Pacific Fest

Portions of Kalakaua Avenue will be closed tomorrow and Sunday for the Pan-Pacific Festival.

Tomorrow, Kalakaua Avenue will be closed from Lewers Street to Kaiulani Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., for the Pan-Pacific Ho'olaule'a. On Sunday, Kalakaua will be closed from Saratoga Road to Kapahulu Avenue from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., for the Pan-Pacific Matsuri Parade.

During the closures, Kalia Road will become a two-way road from Saratoga Road.

In addition, there will be parking restrictions around the events.

The 29th annual Pan-Pacific Festival is held in conjunction with the King Kamehameha Day Celebration. The festival is meant to promote intercultural friendship, learning and appreciation.
