Weather: Rain could be heavy at times today

An upper level low pressure area north of the state has made the atmosphere over the state unstable which could lead to heavy showers at times today, the National Weather Service said.

A high pressure area to the northeast will keep trade winds flowing across the state through next week, according to the forecast.

Here's how the next few days are shaping up:

Today: Isolated showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers before midnight. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Isolated showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 11 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 86. East wind around 14 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 11 mph.
